Neuromodulators such as Botox™ and Nuceiva™ are remarkable in their ability to temporarily relax specific muscles, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles to reveal a more youthful and refreshed appearance. These minimally invasive injectables work by blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles, softening dynamic wrinkles like crow's feet, forehead lines, and frown lines. Beyond their cosmetic benefits, neuromodulators are also utilized to alleviate medical conditions like chronic migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and jaw clenching (bruxism). With their proven safety and effectiveness, neuromodulators offer a quick, virtually painless solution, allowing individuals to achieve natural-looking results and regain confidence in their appearance without the need for invasive procedures or extended downtime.
Neuromodulators, more formally known as botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxin that blocks muscle contractions by temporarily inactivating the nerves that control them. It causes weakness or paralysis of the injected muscle. The effects of botulinum toxin become apparent within 2 days or 2 weeks after the injection and generally last 3-6 months, but can be shorter or longer.
Neuromodulators can address a variety of skin concerns and treatments including, but not limited to: fine lines, wrinkles, hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), bruxism (jaw clenching).
Pain level: 2/10 (very tolerable)
Typically a neuromodulator session lasts 5-15 mins depending on the type of treatment and the area(s) being treated.
Immediately following treatment, you should remain upright for at least 4 hours, do not engage in any rigourous activity for the rest of the day, and do not manipulate, scratch or rub the area for at least 4 hours.

In your consultation, you will meet with one of our Nurse Injectors to assess how to best treat your concerns. They will outline what treatment will look like for you and what you can expect from the results.
Treatment
Do not lay flat for at least 4 hours. Do not engage in rigourous activity for the rest of the day. Do not rub or manipulate the area for at least 4 hours.
Post Treatment
Two weeks after your injection appointment you'll return for a follow up to ensure that we're achieved the desired results. After this two-week period the neuromodulator product will have taken full effect and we can asses if further treatment is required.
Follow up
Based on your initial consultation, your nurse injector or doctor will map where to inject based on your unique muscle structure.
Maintenance
Typically neuromodulators last 2-4 months, depending on the individual. Once you feel the product wearing off, please book another appointment to maintain the benefits.
