IPL

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a non-invasive treatment used to address various skin concerns and imperfections.

IPL emits a broad-spectrum light, targeting pigment irregularities, sun damage, and vascular lesions, effectively reducing the appearance of age spots, freckles, rosacea, and spider veins. IPL also stimulates collagen production, contributing to improved skin texture and tone. Its ability to selectively target specific skin concerns while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed makes IPL a preferred choice for skin rejuvenation. Additionally, IPL treatments typically require minimal downtime, allowing individuals to resume their daily activities shortly after sessions. With its versatility and ability to address multiple skin issues, IPL stands as a popular, effective, and non-invasive option for achieving clearer, more youthful-looking skin. Usually 3-5 sessions are required for optimal results

About IPL

IPL emits a broad-spectrum light in quick, short bursts. This light energy effectively targets pigmented or damaged skin cells which are then broken down by the body.

what to expect

1

Consultation

Your IPL journey starts with a detailed consultation to assess your skin concerns, whether it’s sun damage, pigmentation, redness, or uneven tone. We’ll evaluate your skin type, discuss your goals, and determine if IPL is the best treatment for you. You’ll receive a personalized plan, including the number of sessions needed, pre-treatment guidelines for prepping your skin, and what to expect during the healing process.

2

Treatment

During an IPL treatment, pulses of broad-spectrum light are delivered to the skin to target pigmentation, redness, and other imperfections. The procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the treatment area. You may feel a warm snapping sensation, similar to a rubber band, but discomfort is minimal. After treatment, the skin may appear slightly pink, with darker spots temporarily becoming more pronounced before fading.

3

Post Treatment

Mild redness, swelling, and a warm sensation are common for a few hours after IPL. Pigmented areas may darken before flaking off naturally over the next 7–10 days. It’s essential to wear SPF and avoid direct sun exposure to protect your skin. Gentle skincare and hydration will help support the healing process and optimize results.

4

Follow up

Most patients require 3–5 sessions, spaced about 4-6 weeks apart, for optimal results. During follow-up visits, we’ll assess your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed. As the skin renews, you’ll notice a more even, radiant complexion.

5

Maintenance

To maintain IPL results, sun protection and a customized skincare regimen are key. Annual maintenance treatments can help keep pigmentation and redness at bay, ensuring long-lasting skin clarity and brightness.
